Arms of the Kingdom of Hungary, version including the Árpád stripes
OriginThe design combining the red and silver Árpád stripes on the left with the double cross and three hills on the right is the composite national coat of Hungary.
DescriptionThe shield is divided vertically: on the left are eight bars, four red and four silver alternating; on the right, on a red field, are three green hills below and above them a silver double cross rising from a golden crown. Above the shield rests a gold crown decorated with enamel pictures and gems, and the small cross at its summit leans to one side.
