Arms with a Crowned Black Lion and a Sword
OriginThis is a design in which a black lion wearing a red crown holds a sword point downward on a golden field. It is a different coat from the modern national arms of Georgia, in which Saint George on horseback spears the dragon, and it has not yet been confirmed which country or family it belongs to.
DescriptionOn a shield with a golden field a black lion wearing a red crown rears on its hind legs, drawn with a red tongue, white claws and a forked, streaming tail. In its forepaws the lion holds a sword with a silver hilt and a red blade, point downward, and the top edge of the shield is finished as a pointed crown shape.
