Arms of the Kingdom of Montenegro
OriginThe design combining a crowned double-headed eagle, a sceptre and orb, and a lion on the breast belongs to the Montenegrin state arms of the Petrović-Njegoš period.
DescriptionA white double-headed eagle spreads its wings, holding a gold sceptre in one foot and a blue orb topped with a cross in the other, with a gold crown set above between the two heads. The small shield on its breast has a gold lion walking on red in the upper part and green in the lower, and the whole is wrapped in a red mantle lined with ermine and a crown.
