Principality of Albania · 1443–1479 · house arms

OriginGjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg was a 15th-century Albanian nobleman and military leader.

DescriptionOn a red shield a black double-headed eagle stands with its wings spread, each of the two heads wearing a small crown, and the crowns are drawn in the same black as the eagle. At the top centre of the shield is a blue triangular area pointing downwards, and inside it sits a single six-rayed gold star.
